What should I do to prepare for your visit?

Nothing, I have to see your space exactly the way you deal with it on a day-to-day basis. Every pile tells a story and I want to hear the entire story.

Do you actually do the work with me?

Yes, all the organizing we do will be with your input and direct involvement. You need to be able to function in the system we set up, and without your input that won’t happen. Your commitment will be well worth it in the long run. I will make every effort to work within your schedule.

Is organizing is the same as cleaning?

The cleaning is about confronting nature. And organizing is about confronting yourself. Cleaning should be done regularly to remove naturally accumulated dirt. Decluttering is about sorting through your things in oder to find what is important to you. You will find what you like and what you no longer use and then finding a home for each item that you want to keep.

Is it just about throwing things out?

No, it’s not. We may identify items you’d be willing to part with, but organizing is about discovering what’s important to you and finding ways to make a new system works.

Do you have any clients I can talk to?

Yes, I can provide the contact of some of my previous clients who would be happy to talk about my work. You can also see reviews from clients on my Facebook page.

Who is a Professional Organizer?

A Professional Organizer is an individual that can make your space more functional and efficient by creating a customized system that works for your specific needs. A Professional Organizer provides assistance and support in the decision-making process. Professional organizers ask questions and find solutions to improve your everyday life so everything has a home and is easy to find. We provide information and teach you how to stay organized.

What about confidentiality?

I respect confidentiality and provide and sign a personal confidentiality waiver if you wish. All members of Professional Organizers in Canada are required to uphold the Code of Ethics.
